Therapeutic Modalities
At Jemma Moses psychology we abide by the Australian Psychology Board Code of Conduct, and use a wide variety of evidence-based and treatment modalities and therapies.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a type of psychotherapy which aims to identify and challenge unhelpful ways of thinking, and then make practical positive changes in behaviours to support overall mood and quality of life. CBT is used to treat psychological issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, post-traumatic stress, addictions, fears, relationship difficulties.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT is a psychotherapy that aims to support with letting go of avoiding situations that arise in life and instead focus on accepting the situation in front of us, and learn how to commit to respond in ways that bring connection to our personal values, that can guide our actions. ACT is used to treat psychological issues including depression, anxiety post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance use disorders, workplace stress.
